That means less pull on the skin, less irritation, and cleaner precision around the brow line and lip. Brow work begins with mapping and shaping to your desired shape, not just clearing stray hairs. The visit is quick, five to thirty minutes depending on how many zones, and there is a brief sting on removal that eases as hair grows in finer over a series. Skin may look pink and feel warm briefly. Because facial skin is sensitive and often treated with actives, timing matters: retinoids such as tretinoin, retinol, and adapalene should be paused on the area beforehand, and isotretinoin (Accutane) is a firm no during and for a period after treatment. Most hair returns in four to six weeks, and consistency at that cadence brings finer, sparser regrowth over time. This is grooming and smoothness, not a permanent removal.
Why hard wax and not strip wax on the face?

Can I get facial waxing if I use retinol or Retin-A?
Not on the area being waxed without pausing it first. Retinoids such as retinol, Retin-A, and adapalene thin and sensitize the skin and raise the risk of the wax lifting live skin. Let your provider know what you use and they will advise a timeline for stopping and resuming.
Can I be waxed while on Accutane?
No. Facial waxing is not safe during isotretinoin (Accutane) treatment or for a period after, because the medication thins your skin and raises the risk of the wax lifting live skin. This is a firm safety line, and your provider will confirm timing based on your prescriber's guidance.
Does facial waxing hurt?

How long does facial waxing last, and how often should I come back?

Can I add a facial wax to a facial?
Often, yes, but sequencing matters. A lip, chin, or brow tidy can pair with a facial, but the provider will not wax an area that just had a peel, dermaplane, or microneedling, and will avoid waxing immediately before a facial that uses actives on the same zone. The provider sequences this at the appointment.
